This weekend in a one-day regional competition, Cheer Energy's teams continued their fight for D2 Summit Bids in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was not our best weekend as there were mistakes, nevertheless our teams put on amazing performances and were proud of their routines. Competition in the state's capitol was stiff, with each division putting out evenly matched routines and making scores incredibly close. We are proud of each routine our teams put on the mat this Sunday and encourage them to keep up the hard work in practices! The time and effort you are bringing into the gym is paying off AND OUR SCORES SHOW! Again thank you to all of the team moms, parents, friends, family, and fans that continue to make our competitions a success.
We want to congratulate Fusion (SY1) and Ignite (SSr2) on doing so well in your 1st competition of the season. Although both routines show room for improvement throughout the season, we could not be more proud of the way you performed to kick off your team's season.
If you are following along with our season, we will continue next to Spirit Xpress at Cox Mill High School in Concord, NC. All teams, except Sparks (STiny1) who begin their season in January, will be competing. We hope to see you there and be on the lookout for new updates following.
Bringing together competitors
Through the craziness of competitions and rivalries, we often forget that the cheerleaders Cheer Energy athletes compete against are real people with real families that have lives outside of cheerleading. This past October, a hurricane struck the east coast of North Carolina, leaving communities devastated and whole towns destroyed. Cheer Infinity Allstars out of Wilmington, NC suffered from flooding at their own facility and many of their athletes had damage done to their homes. As the community continues to rebuild in the aftermath, we at Cheer Energy wanted to send our congratulations to the teams at Cheer Infinity for putting on such strong performances this weekend despite what you have been going through the past few months. Although we may be rivals on the mat, we still share the same love for cheerleading and want to see one another succeed beyond the gym walls. We wish you the best of luck throughout the rest of your season and pray that you continue to be strong in rebuilding your city!
